Bluefin Tuna Mattanza in the Atlantic Ocean waters off Zahara de los Atunes in Spain. This method of fishing uses a system of nets called an Almadraba has been used in this region for over 3000 years. The nets trap the bluefin tuna as they migrate out of the Mediterranean Sea where they spawn. When enough fish are in the final chamber of the nets they hold a Mattanza (harvest).
